09' turned out to be one of the wettest years I can ever remember. Every time I had a free day off to go take pictures on - it seemed to rain. Since I had purchased my new DSLR a year earlier, I was having a blast taking pictures like I use to with my old Nikon camera's. Oddly one type of shot I hadn't captured was nice sunset shots like I used to take some 15 years before. This year I was determined to strike that off my list first chance I got this spring. But with all the rain, unbelievably, all of June had passed and I STILL hadn't had gotten the free time on a clear day off to get one. Then on the first week of July finally I got the chance to see how my D300 stacked up against my old Nikon's at sundown. This was my D300's first sunset photo opp, and not only did it not disappoint, it produced one of the best sundown shot I'd ever taken.
