My second attempt at panorama's, this deceivingly complex photo is made up of 11 individual shots and the final uploaded Jpeg file weighs in at a hefty 97 megabites. It totally kicked my computers arse. I had to triple the amount of ram on my computer to 24 megs, just to get it to reasonably complete this daunting task. And there were still edit problems my system didn't have enough horsepower to correct, that I'll have to try some other way to fix, or upgrade my system further.
But for now at least, I finally have a photo of this magnificent looking bank that I've wanted to capture for as long as I've owned my house, passing by it for the last 17 years. Long have I wondered how to capture it on film in a way to do justice to it's beauty, and with the acquisition of my 2 new Nikon's early this year, I finally had equipment capable of doing the job to my satisfaction.
I had taken some test shots under different lighting conditions to get my creative juices flowing, and after my first successful panoramic capture, (the shot you can see in this gallery just previous to this one), I finally knew just how I wanted to capture this local New York City landmark.
