You should not judge a lens by the shots it gets under ideal conditions, like in this case here. However I will at least say for what it is and what it's asked to do, this Tamron 18-400mm is a remarkable zoom.
Super zooms have some of the toughest image quality obstacles to deal with in the photographic world, and the range on this lens is about as large as any on the market. A lens that has to cover 18mm all the way out to 400 should not have image quality this good even in ideal lighting conditions, but it does, and consequentially finds it's way into my bag on almost every trip that I take my cropped sensor camera with me.
