After having to wait over 8 months for my pinched nerve and shoulder injuries to heal, it was nice to feel good enough to go out and take pictures again. And to sit in the warm sunshine and wait for birds to come on down to this avian community bathing spot, was doubly nice.

  • The rain and clouds that were the dominating theme as our ship approached Bermuda early this morning had long gone, replaced by clear warm sunny skies. So I hit the ground running grabbing my camera gear and my bus pass, I went off to see what I could see worth photographing. <br />

While walking to the bus stop after my first uneventful sojourn, I spotted one of the islands omnipresent spinyback spiders, and figured as I had plenty of time before the next bus was scheduled to arrive I'd grab my first shots on the island of my vacation. Maybe not exactly what I was thinking of when I left the ship this morning, it certainly was a much more pleasant way to wait for a bus than I'd ever do back home.

  • To me I think the Cedar wax wing is the prettiest bird in the northeast. And I was thrilled to finally capture one.

  • Another one of the most beautiful birds in the northeast. And oh what a wonderful sound their wings make as they glide past you!
