  • Here for a second time at the Central Park zoo, to get more familiar with my two new camera's. Less crowded today allowed for more opportunities. While the vast majority of these shots these past two days were of the "how does this setting compare to how it was in my old camera", "what does this button do" kind of thing, I have to say speaking aesthetically, I really like this shot...

  • Back visiting the heron's nest here at Clove Lake. It's early April and from past experience I'd say the pair have mated and the female has already laid her eggs. I was camped out at the nest site from about 8 till 3, and she never once left the nest, though she did move around the twigs around a lot.

  • Practice makes perfect. Hand held with my 300mm F4.5 ED-IF, at 1/125th of a sec. Not bad for a lens with no VR or auto focus. My skills are getting better.
