Wilderness bride
I crossed paths with this bride more than once this pleasant fall day in Prospect park. But though the settings were all nice when I took the shots, either the expressions or gazes of her or more correctly, her better half, were all just off enough to spoil the shot. Later in the day as I spotted a flash of white glimmering off the otherwise dull reflections in the water as I approached the Lullwater pond I knew it had to be from the dress of our blushing bride again, and I walked up the waters edge to see one more time if photo's I might take would be worth editing.
"Ah she's by herself and relishing the solo attention", so her emotions will be the only one on display, which I guessed would be a positive development. But on the negative side this time the surroundings were not even close to being colorful. Instead they were dull if not darn near dead. As it turned out all the colorful tree's and bushes were on my side of the pond. Which explained why her wedding photographers were on her side of the pond, using my side as a lovely colorful backdrop.
However I found something to be said for the contrast of her lovely dress and skin set against the rough dry dead and dying brush and mud of the marsh. And it's not like her photographers could eliminate the dull muddy ground she was standing on no matter how nice the fall leaves made their background look. So I figured in for a penny in for a pound. And when she gave us a great looking poise, finally I got a shot of her worth keeping.
