  • And our heron races after it. Interestingly enough, once he got up to it he took a pass. Tony said he already gave him 4 fishes before I got there. Maybe he was in the mood for something different, like a nice juicy catfish perhaps. After all variety is the spice of life.
  • I might have thought that catching fishes for him might have taken the fine edge off his hunting skills, or made him a tad lazy. But I've come here quite often when Tony wasn't fishing, and papa heron seemed to have no problem keeping up to his normal number of catches for the young ones that I had observed in the past.

  • Getting off at the 72nd street station to head through Central Park so I could view the Puerto Rican Day parade, I noticed the red carpet across the street and saw the big Tony Award sign and knew this spot was going to be crawling with onlookers in a few hours, but for now it was just another block in the big city on a sunny afternoon.

  • Today was the first time that I had ever gone to the Puerto Rican Day parade. I usually either had to work or had some other plans in years past. But today I was off and the thought of spending time with a nice raucous crowd in the mood to laugh and celebrate, sounded quite inviting to me so I decided to join in on the fun.
