DSC_2446 winter fun in Central Park

candidCentral Parkwinterchildren

  • After leaving the Central Park Zoo and those wonderful snow monkeys, I headed off into the park to search for an ideal spot for a future shot I long to capture. As I trudged through the snow, I came upon this large group of young men and boys, having a blast in the snow. They attracted lots of people who stopped to take their picture, and I decided to join them.
  • The young man about to go flying at the bottom of this run is named David. Turns out he was in town on a break from Eaton College in England. He liked some of the pictures I took so much that he asked me to e-mail some of them to him at his school, where they were looking for shots to put in their school calendar. That would be so cool if some of my pictures ended up in a calendar from a school that famous.

  • I found this scene not only fun and lively, but from a scenic stand point, I found it pretty as well.

  • This one is probably my favorite shot of the day - though some others sure came close.
  • I captured so many great shots here this day, that it's hard for me to pick the one I thought was the best from a technical stand point. If I did this shot probably would be the one.

  • Last month I captured this picture of this man playing with his children at a quaint little pond in Central Park. I hope I'm eventually able to get in contact with him because he loved the picture so much, he asked if I could send it to him. However neither of us had a paper and pen on us, and many days later I realized I recited my e-mail address incorrectly, so he's been unable to find me to receive his photo. Hopefully one day we'll find each other again.
