Unlike in the other shots that follow that have moving objects, I could have exposure blended this scene instead of using graduated filters and darkened the shadows so that the geese moving around on the left in the shot became impossible to see. However the Atlantic ocean lies right on the other side of those trees, and the unpredictable breezes that accompany it can pop up at any time and move the leaves and blur the image.
As I wanted at least one shot of this scene at a really low ISO rather than all of them being at a high ISO to freeze any movement I chose to shoot this shot this way. There's a time and place for everything, and this was a time for a graduated filter.
