Mums the word
On my first day off after relocating the hill that sits to the left of Wagner College, I walked all around the area to see what other nice views might be nestled within. Chiefly I still held faint hope in finding a magic spot overlooking the bay that was open to the public, and I decided to walk down a steep winding road that veered off of Howard avenue. Ironically just down the road in this picture I found that long sought after spot, though there was already fences rolled up in piles on the ground, cluing me in that this spot too would soon be off limits to the public.
Before reaching there however as I walked down this gracefully curved beautiful looking street, I couldn't help being taken in by how charming Signal Hill road was. Lots of absolutely stunning huge homes and quiet clean streets. It was as lovely a place as you could ever want to live in. And if that wasn't enough I came upon this spot. Even the public sidewalks were charming. With most flowers in folks yard fading fast from winters soon advance, it was unlikely that such a well preserved grouping of buds was totally the result of pure luck. Someone probably took the time to plant or at least preserve these beautiful blossoms. And even though I never expected to find a scene like this when I packed my gear before leaving the house, and had no easy way to get my camera down to an angle this low, I finally found a way to maneuver my tripod head into position to give me a photo that would capture this beautiful landscaping, and honor this wonderful street.
