Dinner!! Yeah!!
Since last spring I've been trying to capture a clear shot of one of our resident parents coming in for a landing at their nest here at Clove Lakes. My manual focus 300mm telephoto is the only lens good enough in my arsenal to get sharp shots of the nest from the plus 100 ft. distance that I have to deal with. Trying to capture a moving target that lands in unpredictable spots each time has proved to be quite a challenge to say the least. Nothing but fuzzy shots or sharp ones of half a bird. But persistence is a virtue. And when you finally succeed, wow!
