Black beauty
I came here to Snug Harbor to test out my new camouflage gear. The tests I’ve tried in the backyard on the birds that come to my backyard feeders have all been quite successful, and soon I plan to take them out to places like Clove Lakes and Wolfe’s pond. But little steps first, and this spot at the marsh at Snug Harbor is small lightly travelled, and only has a modest amount of nature activity. Which would give me plenty of time to set up and get into position in between animal sightings. A nice dry run before I take it out to where the animals at times come fast and furiously.
While setting up a man spotted me and asked if I minded his dog running around here and of course I said go right ahead. As I spread out my camouflage netting on the ground in front of me and started attaching them together with my plastic clips, a big dog raced by sporting an exceptionally gorgeous rich black coat. So beautiful was she that I had to stop and take her picture.
