  • Had some time to kill before my train to Wave Hill arrived, so I decided to take a quick stab at a pano to see what obstacles I'll need to overcome when I want to get a really nice one here.
  • When I left the house this morning I was originally going to leave my D500 and Tamron 18-400mm home to save weight as I was going to be shooting landscapes and macros here at the botanical gardens in the Bronx, and hadn't seen anything but squirrels and pigeons here for the last several years. Good thing that I had a change of heart at the last minute.
  • Like most of us I'm swamped with holiday tasks on top of my everyday chores, and working in retail means I'm working overtime at my job constantly, leaving less time to do all that in. <br /> <br /> Hallelujah though for this weekend was my weekend off, which allowed me to get a large chunk of these tasks done as well as get some much much needed extra sleep. But I did make myself one promise. As the weathermen predicted this Sunday to be quite nice weather wise, if I woke up all on my own, relaxed and refreshed, and did so still early enough to get out to the lake near my house before sunrise, I would pack some gear into my pull along camera bag and take a nice early morning stroll around the lake.
